Creating a Home Theater On A Budget
Posted By Houston Decorator on November 4, 2010
In order to create a home theater in your home, you must have a designated location, which can be a room or even a portion of a room. If you have limited space, but can rearrange in order to accommodate the HDTV, seating, and be able to partition of an area of a room, then you can have a home theater easily.
Begin by measuring the room or the area. You have to know how much space you have to put the seating and you must know what size HDTV will be perfect in the space you have. You do not want a 55-inch television is the seats are only 5 feet from the screen. In most cases, the seating should be 1/3 the size of the TV, so for a 55 inch screen the seating should be just a tad over 18 feet from the screen.
Once you know the size of the HDTV you desire, you can easily find all the great products you need including the soundproof curtains on remote control so you can partition the home theater system when in use or just remote control curtains to block out the light and to reveal the HDTV if in a room alone.
Before you purchase one item, you should draw a sketch with measurements, so you know exactly how much room you have to work with. It will not help if you purchase items that will not fit into the space. Consider using wall mounted speakers and even electronic equipment that can be placed on shelves behind curtains to ensure they do not take away the awe affect of a home theater.
