Feng shui is an ancient system that is used to create and direct the flow of positive positive energy, known as “chi,” in your space. This is accomplished by using various techniques, including mapping out your space and using the strategic placement of objects in certain areas. Yin and Yang Energy
In feng shui, there are two main types of energy – yin, representing the feminine force, and yang, representing the masculine force. Quartz crystal singing bowls, with their rounded, open shape are receptacles for yin energy. Place them in areas that you would prefer to be more calm, inviting and serene. The sound of the bowls, however, with their bright and piercing tones, have more yang energy. So if you want to create a more active, energetic atmosphere or clear out stagnant energy, you can sound your bowl for a while in that area. Note that the higher the tone of your singing bowl, the more yang energy it contains.
