You want the perfect nursery for your baby, when expecting. You desire to create a relaxing, soft and cuddly room for your child. It doesn’t matter if you are expecting a boy or a girl, either way you and your baby will spend a lot of time in the nursery. This article will provide you with ideas on how to choose attractive and soothing colors for decorating your baby’s nursery.
Decide on the Color Scheme
Many parents love to use bright primary colors to decorate the nursery. Colors like bright reds, blues, greens and yellows are useful in attracting your baby’s attention as their eyes begin to focus, and it can make the room look cheerful. Soft, pastel colors will work just as well, and are quite more relaxing when it comes time for the baby to take a nap. Consider using soft blue, cream and pastel peach, as they are good colors to use.
You can also use a blue or pink theme depending on your baby’s gender. To keep the space from being overwhelmed by a single color combine these colors with sand, cream and white shades.
Furnishings
You can go with anything for the crib, changing table, dresser and other furniture. If you go with bold colors, maybe going with white furniture would a a good idea, so that you can provide some contrast in the room. Or maybe furniture made with darker wood is a good idea if you decide on choosing pastel pink, blue or even a light aqua. Pine or natural furnished furnishings will go perfect with any color scheme.
Creative Painting Makes a World of Difference
With only a little paint, you can truly do hundreds of things. You can get really creative when it comes to the nursery. Lots of new parents feel that they can add a relaxing touch to the room by painting soft clouds on the ceilings. Think about maybe painting some playful murals on the walls. You can go as simple as a few alphabet blocks or you can go with something more intricate like Disney characters. Simply use your imagination!
There are all sorts of options for accessorizing the room if your baby is a boy. Cars and trucks, fire engines, tractors and sports themes are fine choices. Think about a ballerina, princess or fairy tale character theme for a girl’s room. Teddy bears are, of course, perfect for either.
Many people like to keep the gender of their baby a surprise until the day it is born. If this is the case don’t worry, all you need to do is use neutral colors and theme such as Winnie the Pooh, or even a beach theme with soft blue and sand colors. If you want to avoid having to change the room’s décor too soon try to go with a theme what will still work when they are two or three.
Use these tips and ideas for the baby’s nursery and try to throw in a few of your own ideas. You will have the perfect nursery, just like your little one
